UPDATE – MAY 2022 – Benny has been adopted and is now furever home!

Benny is a cocker spaniel cavalier mixed breed dog adoptable through Furever Pet Care. He was born September 28, 2020, surrendered into foster care when his first family could no longer care for him. He is neutered, up to date with vaccines, housetrained, approximately 20 lbs (8.7 kg), stands 16″ at the withers, and has a personality that is all about loving.

Board and Train Explained
The pandemic has had all kinds of effects on families and the dogs who live with them.
Some of the effects are terrific. Dogs received lots of attention from folks locked down with them. What puppy doesn’t love being the center of the universe?
Some of those effects are not so desirable. The change in family dynamic that come with a return to a more “normal” pattern has made for dogs who have a hard time being separated from their people even for brief durations; dogs that are overly reactive; dogs that are overly fearful; dogs unable to adapt to change. For these families, a board and train program may provide respite and a fresh perspective.

The A + B + C+ D alphabet spells out the end of our pandemic-response scheduled play date program here at Furever Pet Care. But there are still options for your summer puppy fun.
A – the summer is in full swing. B – the humans have been (mostly) poked and freed. C – many of our playdate families want to get out, travel and do stuff with their entire pack, including the dog. Mixing and mingling means your dogs get to see new friends too. D – One of the main reasons we launched the pandemic playdate program was to help dogs prepare for this very time, when they would again be out and about in social settings, dog and human, that are more like “normal” times.
