The lockdown in Ontario will extend into early June. Give your dog the jump on social interactions with trainer-supervised, small group playdates here at Furever Pet Care. If you have plans to travel later this summer and are considering a dog boarding stay, playdates are a great way to introduce your dog to our set up. Here are the scheduled playdate times and days for June 2021.
Wednesdays 5:00 pm – June 2, 9, 16, 23
For the Pandemic Puppers – best for dogs that would benefit from positive socialization outside their own homes
Wednesdays 6:30 pm – June 2, 9, 16, 23
For the Sprinters – best for dogs that like to run and chase with not as much body contact
Sundays 9:00am – June 6, 13, 20, 27
For the Wrestlers – best for dogs that like paws-on play, adolescent dogs, high energy dogs
Sundays 10:00am – June 6, 13, 20, 27
For the Brunchers – best for dogs that are learning to love their brethren, positive socialization
Sundays 11:30am – June 6, 13, 20, 27
For the Littles – best for small breed dogs under 15 lbs, shy dogs, young puppies
I have loosely defined the groups according to the time slots based on our dogs who come regularly. A stable group of dogs can be especially beneficial for puppies learning dog manners. Some dogs come on alternate weeks, so these groupings are flexible.
Each dog is pre-screened one-on-one before joining a play group. I provide ongoing feedback to pet parents with regards to their dogs participation in playdates. The groups are also modified to fit your specific dogs’ ongoing needs. For example, a formerly shy dog that has achieved more confidence may be moved into a group with higher energy to ensure social progress. Additional group times and / or two-dog pairings may be added to accommodate specific dog socialization or enrichment goals.
