Christmas Dog Photos are a tradition around here, has been for years. It does not matter that a lousy unfortunate global pandemic is underway – I will always have my stellar rock star doggo’s to help cheer me up during the holiday season. Try it with yours!
McGee the Chi is leader of the photo pack. I know I can always rely on him to tolerate any dog costume I put on him, and give me his best “watch” on command. It doesn’t hurt that this ten year old chihuahua has been on stage and TV too!
Dogs on Camera
Jill the Pom Chi has a lot going on in any typical day, though for this day she settled in an gave me a perfect starry eyed holiday gaze.
Working with my dogs means I also get to try out various dog photography props, compositions, lighting and framing. Knowing that my pups will give me “the look” no matter what fuss I make around them is a big bonus.
The newest member of the pack, 2 year old Stella the Min Pin mix, is young and less experienced, but she is certainly holding her own in the cutie department! She is a little trickier to capture on screen because of her dark coloring and her tendancy to want to get in, get it done, and get out. With the right kind of treats, and short sweet sessions, we are bringing her along quite nicely.
Sometimes we have no more than a single Santa hat, or a couple of holiday sweaters for our annual Christmas dog photography, as you can see from these previous year posts.

More 2020 Christmas Dog Photo Shoot to Come
No matter what we have to work with, or how short a time we have to do it in, we have a great time working with our dogs and the dogs that we are lucky enough to be sharing during this time of year. Many thanks and watch the blog for more of the 2020 Christmas dog photo shoot.
