Experienced Dog Training Professional
Judith Keenan is a certified dog training professional working in the Niagara region, Canada. She trains families and their dogs through Furever Pet Care as well as with professional dog school Unleashed Niagara. She has been taking care of foster dogs for rescue groups for more than 12 years and cared for her own furry family members for decades. She has a particular specialty in the needs of tiny breed dogs (under 10 pounds) and creatures that need an extra bit of understanding to be happy and secure.
Her professional credentials include CPDT-KA via Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, Certified Trick Dog Trainer through Do More With Your Dog, and Pet CPR/First-Aid Certified through Therapy Tails Niagara and DogGuru Cheryl Orletsky.
Judith’s own dogs have a range of credentials as well. McGee the Chi has been the lead dog actor, Bruiser, on stage in the live theatre production of Legally Blonde. He has filmed, starred in (and was paid for!) a nationally broadcast television commercial for Interac cast through Tess Hardy and Paul Rutledge. He has earned his Novice Trick Dog title and his Certified Good Neighbour award, all of this after the age of 8 years.
Stella the Min Pin came to us as a foster dog at age 6 months, then wriggled her way into permanent member of the pack. She is currently acting as sometimes Demo Dog in classes at Unleashed Niagara, as well as completing a host of training sessions herself. Her favourites activities are Parkour, Flyball and learning new tricks – she has earned Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert Level Titles through Do More With Your Dog.
